SIMPLE HOUSE



Simple House by M.A.C. aims to provide quality designs that are affordable and accessible for everyone.

This is achieved through our turn-key model of Design and Approvals. We aim to create designs that are not only functional, pragmatic and environmentally sustainable, but also experimental and fun.

Using this approach, we strongly focus on providing affordable housing scenarios for clients. We aim to serve the community with great design for an affordable price.




DESIGN



Simple House focuses on the following design principles,

  • Unique and customisable
  • Functional, Pragmatic and Efficient
  • Utilising simple and sustainable construction methods
  • Working within site specific conditions

Simple House is designed so it can easily be adjusted to suit any site. During the design process the client is able to customise their Simple House in the following ways,

  • Internal layout
  • Internal finishes
  • Facade cladding and colour
  • Roof shape and massing

The result is a design that is uniqely yours and designed by an industry professional rather than a typical home builder.















APPROVALS



Simple house is designed to fast track the approval process and provide builders with ready-made drawings through a Complying Development Certificate (CDC) rather than an approval process through council.

This is achieved by having Simple House comply with local council design guidelines, policies and standards. In doing so, a Development Application is not necessary by council for approval. Instead, the design is reviewed by a certifying authortiy who we work with to obtain approval for the works.

Once approved and the CDC is obtained, the client is free to engage builders with their own unique Simple House design and begin construction.



















CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANCE



After the Approval stage, we offer further Construction Assistance at an extra cost. This assistance includes the following services,

  • Construction details at a finer scale that assist the builder in achieveing the overal design intent
  • A schedule of fixtures and fittings for interior items
  • Meetings with with the builder prior to construction
  • Coordination of services to align with the overal design strategy
  • Site visits to inspect construction progress
  • Consultation and assistance to any queries you or the builder may have during the construction process
